Correcting a 'Parse Error'

I am getting a parse error on line 70 1SSR=sum(res1.^2); Can anyone help me out here? My class mates have used this code and are getting no errors soIi am stumped.

A variable name cannot start with a number....
1a = 3 % not allowed
a1 = 3 % allowed
So rename 1SSR to SSR1, 1R2 to R21.
