place a figure into a panel

matlab main interface is made of several panels like "command window panel" "workspace panel", "command history panel" , figures (and editor panel) can also be locked as a panel in the main interface (i know how to do this manually bu pushing the small arrow button on the right top corner of the figure ). I was wondering how i can automatically (inside the code) force the figures GUI to be pushed inside one of the matlab main interface panels. This will help me keep figures organized.
