Help me I am unable to input array

Hello everyone, when I try to input numbers as array like [1 2 3 4] and want to print the output as array that I gave as input, it is saying that Unable to perform assignment because the indices on the left side are not compatible with the size of the right side. Please help me to solve the problem. The code is as follows:

for i=1:4
    x(i)=input('Enter elements of x=');
end
disp(x);

They way you coded it needs to enter the single values one after each other:

Enter elements of x=1
Enter elements of x=2
Enter elements of x=3
Enter elements of x=4
     1     2     3     4

maybe try:

x(1,:)=input('Enter elements of x=');
disp(x)

Enter elements of x=[1 2 3 4]
     1     2     3     4
