Still having installation problems.

I just installed 2020a and I have the problem that I get all kinds of error messages such as:

Unrecognized function or variable 'matlab.internal.addons.updates.getSupportPackageUpdates'.

I notice that a similar problem was posted concerning 2019. The solution given is to type the commands:

restoredefaultpath

rehash toolboxcache

savepat

This seems to work, but not permanently. Is there a more permanent fix?

There seem to be a few other workarounds to solving this issue apart from the three commands that you've mentioned.

Also, please try to perform a complete reinstallation of MATLAB in case the issue persists.
