How to use width

Hello

I have tried to work on smoothing of data and I came across this code. I dont really understand what the number 1s at the end means. Can anyone help please?

for i = (width-fix(width/2)))-1:-1:1

i is starting at (width-fix(width/2))-1 and stepping down in -1 increments to 1.
