I have to perform gridding step. For that, i have to crop the input microarray image, convert 2 gray scale & then perform row & column average calculation & then display that as a signal. I am done with cropping & conversion to gray scale. I am stuck with row & column average calculation of sub-microarray image separately. Next i have 2 do autocorrelation & top hat filtering on the averaged signal. Can anyone plz tel me how to find average of rows & columns & plot it? It'l b of gr8 help....

plot(mean(I, 1)) % rows
plot(mean(I, 2)) % columns

i tried with plot command..no output is getting displayed...
