format of the data set to be given to the neural network?

I have a pedestrian data set containing two folders 'positive' and 'negative'. After extracting features using coHoG I save them using command "save testinriapos x y face". When I present the same to neural network it's not showing any progress. Kindly help me as it has taken my so many days...
