How to make a text area in app-designer GUI copyable?

I create a GUI interface using Matlab app-designer. One thing I notice is that the info generated inside a text area box can not be copied to another document using copy and paste.

Is there a way I could change that? Many thanks.

Hi Liqing,

I tried reproducing the issue in R2020b,

It is working fine, and I am able to do copy and paste from the text area box to another document.

I also tried out using “uitextarea” function available in MATLAB

fig = uifigure;
txa = uitextarea(fig);

Copy and paste is working fine is here as well.

Can you provide additional information so that I will try to reproduce this issue.
