How can I average Hourly data in to monthly data

I have a data file for time, column like YR MO DA HH , and temperature , salinity, density (7 * 8760) about 8760 rows. (one year data, hourly)

How can I average these data into two different files, daily_data (365 days), and Monthly_data (12months)

Please help. I'm new to matlab. Thanks
