Continuous Wavelet Transform Computational complexity

I have a question about the computional complexity of the CWT function (cwt()), applied to signal x with 2000 samples.

My question is how to calculate the computional complexity to perform the CWT to the signal x?

isn't computational conplexity the relation between input length and computation time? i would use random input of length 100 times, compute result and measure time and use mean of the time. This gives you input length and mean time. Then repeat this for random input with doubled length and so on, then you can see how computation time develops with input length
