MATLAB R2019a automated uninstall error: error calling main

HI Team,
I'm trying to automate removal of MATLAB R2019a from several hundred PCs running Windows 10 (v20H2). I'm using the command %MATLAB%\uninstall\bin\win64\uninstall.exe -inputfile <filename>, and I can see that the uninstaller launches, but then sits at 0% CPU until I kill the process (I've let it sit for 30+ minutes). I'm not even getting a log output.
I changed the input file mode from "silent" to "automated" to gather information, and I see the message: "Installer Error - Exception calling main".
I tried taking the input file out of the picture and just running the uninstaller, but get the same error message.
Does anyone have information on what could be causing the error in question? It's simply not feasible to perform all of the necessary uninstalls manually.
Thanks in advance!
