How can I get "generate data" for nn predictive controller in simulink working?

My model is not getting trained properly by my import data so my best option is to let controller generate its own data. However, as I click on "Generate data" button the Input-Output data dialog box appears and nothing happens. This went on for many hours with no progress. Moreover, the function is working for example cstr given in help. I don't see any error or warning so please help!

My model is simple buck converter of which I am taking input at switch and output at voltage.
