how much memory need to find eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a matrix

I have a code in MATLAB and I want to run it for a very big sample size. But I do not know how much time it taks. The main point of my code is finding eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a matrix and the rest I think does not take time. Is there any way to estimate the time for using ``eig" function
