Real time simulation of a model designed for arduino without the harware board in the loop?

Hi all,
Is there a way to run a real time simulation on a target hardware (e.g. For arduino mega 2560) without the actual board connected in the loop? I would really like to simulate my model to be used on Arduino before uploading the model on the hardware...
Thank you all, Luke

Make a copy of your model and replace all of the hardware specific blocks from the arduino library (input/output channels, serial or pwm, etc) with simulink signals and scopes. You would have to define what input signals you are interested in seeing the response to. You can set up the solver in configuration parameters to be the fixed step size of your arduino. Then you can run it in simulink like a normal simulink model.
