Hello,
I've been trying to use the N-Channel IGBT Block from the SimElectronics Library for quite a long time. However, I haven't been able to make it work correctly and I am starting to think that there is an error in the model. Normally in a single phase inverter using IGBTs, when a voltage pulse corresponding to the Gate-Emitter nominal voltage VGE is supplied to the gate (normally 15V), the voltage across an active switch VCE (e.g. S1+) should decay from V = Vdc/2 to almost 0. When trying to do this by using the N-Channel IGBT model, the voltage increases to Vdc. The only way to make it work is by supplying a VGE = Vdc which is not correct in reality. This leads me to think that something is inverted in the model.
Also, everytime I set the junction capacitances greater than zero, the simulation crashes. I tried with different solvers and tolerances but nothing works. The error is always "Calculation for differential and algebraic state derivatives failed."
Please let me know what the problems are. Best regards,
David Arriola

Hi David Arriola, Can I know what is block after "step block" in Model2.PNG?
