What is the difference between Large Scale and Medium Scale methods in the Optimization Toolbox?

I would like to know more information about the differences between medium and large scale models in the optimization toolbox.

Typically a model with just 5 variables would not be considered a large scale model. However, there are exceptions to this based on how the model is defined in the constraints. Visit the following website for examples on large scale models:
