Description

With PLCnext Target for Simulink, Phoenix Contact provides the interface in the PLCnext Technology ecosystem to the MATLAB® and Simulink environment. The add-on enables automatic code generation for all common PLCnext Controls.

Users of Simulink benefit from extended customization options. They can easily adjust configuration settings, parameter values, and select specific controller targets before generating the model with a few clicks on the PLCnext tab in Simulink. 

The integration of the model is kept simple and intuitive. The device-specific code, generated from Simulink, is easily integrated into a project and assigned as a task in PLCnext Engineer. This enables access to all functions of the open PLCnext Technology ecosystem and the programs created can operate alongside those developed in IEC 61131-3, C#, or C/C++, even under real-time conditions.

PLCnext Engineer facilitates real-time monitoring and optimization of model parameters through external mode during execution, ensuring optimal application performance. For in-depth analysis of model behavior or troubleshooting errors, PLCnext Target for Simulink lets users access the C/C++ level code.

The PLCnext Target for Simulink provides users with a wide range of options that go far beyond the usual functions of an engineering environment for control systems.

PLCnext Target for Simulink enables the automatic conversion of MATLAB and Simulink models into device-specific code for PLcnext Control.
