How do I insert horizontal scroll bar on an 'edit text box'?

Hi!!!
I have an edit text box. I changed the 'max' value to '2' to have a multiline edit box but I need to have a horizontal scroll bar because I display transfer functions on it. How can I do it? Any idea?
