Matlab and Simulink, the same?

Hi,

I tried clicking on the Simulink icon in Matlab and it doesn't work. I was just wondering if Simulink automatically comes with a Matlab license of if it is only available for an additional cost.

Simulink needs an additional license. What do you see when you type:

   >> ver

Also try

   >> [TF errmsg] = license('checkout','simulink')

[Walter Roberson]

Exception: the Student Edition version of Simulink uses the same license.
