C++ programming in Matlab

I'm relatively new to Matlab (2012, Student Version), and I am having great confusion when it comes to writing programs on it. I have written a simple c++ program on it, but I cannot find any explanation as to how I should compile and run it. I know there are some kind of examples that has something to do with MEX files, but none of them seem to satisfactorily explain how to solve my problem: All I want is to compile and run this program on Matlab.
