I have this figure, pls help me to make it noise free and without any discontinuity.

Then you need to use a more sophisticated algorithm, such as those given here: in VisionBib. See this section:

Or you need a different structuring element -- though if the feet show up very close together then you could have trouble.

I would probably have attempted to use "ultimate opening" (or is it "ultimate skeletonization" ?) to see if that helped.
