Using Raspberry Pi camera with Matlab R2013

I would like to inquire whether camera module of raspberry pi can be used in matlab R2013a version. I am able to use simulink with webcam but unable to use the camera module. I am also facing problem using the raspberry commands such as raspi_examples after downloading the support package.

The short answer is yes. You must follow the instructions posted in the comments section of the following link: http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/40313-simulink-support-package-for-raspberry-pi-hardware.

The MATLAB Support Package for Raspberry Pi Hardware (a.k.a. raspi) is not available in R2013a/R2013b releases of MATLAB. You must have R2014a version of MATLAB to install this support package. The command, raspi_examples, opens the examples for the raspi support package and is not available for R2013a.
