Mapview : convert geographic coordinates into x y coordinates, is it possible with mapview ?

Hello all, i have the positions of a number of transmitters (longitude and latitude) and i need to present them as points in x y plan? i dont know if it is possible with mapview or not but really im still in this problem since 2 days with no solution. Please if you have an idea or an other way to do that i will be grateful
