How can I change the colour background in a region using plot?

I have been trying to change the colour background of a concrete region in a plot but I don't know how can I do it. I would be very gratefull if you can help me to resolve this problem. I would like changing the colour of the region between the red lines that you can see in the next image. Thanks in advance!

Diego, you could plot a properly sized rectangle on top of which ( hold all ) you plot all other data.
