Calculating the change in water volume by comparing two images

I need to calculate the change in water volume by comparing two images. At time=0 the capillary is full and the first photo is taken. At time=30s second photo is taken and the volume of the water in capillary is less than its initial value. Can you help with calculating the volume change just comparing two photos and using capillary geometrical data. During this process all environmental variables will be kept constant.

Possibly. Is there any reason why you're asking for image processing advice but not showing us your image? If you don't know how, then click on the green image icon and browse to where your image is. I can't say much without it other that "Yes you probably can do it with the Image Processing Toolbox." Hopefully you have a good image to start with otherwise I'll just recommend you fix your image capture conditions and come back later when you have a good image.

Thanks for your answer. It was my first post and I forgot to add an image. In my experiment, I will take photos of a fluid in a capillary tube periodically to observe its volume change. Since the experiment hasn't began, I am adding a stock photo to show the basic experiment arrangement. I managed to find the change in the capillary tube using "imdiff" command but I couldn't determine the dimensions of the shape for calculating the volume.
