which segmentation method are recommended for images with uniform histogram?

hello experts,
i wonder what is the best segmentation method to apply on a grayscale image with uniform histogram (meaning most of the pixels values located in the black region and decrease as we approach to bright pixels)
example of the histogram can be found here:
thanks in advance

I find the triangle method usually best for these kinds of shapes. It draws a line from the peak to the tail. Then it draws perpendicular lines from that hypotenuse to the histogram and takes the longest line. That longest line points to the "corner" in the elbow of the histogram. That is usually a pretty reasonable choice. See http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/28047-gray-image-thresholding-using-the-triangle-method
