Hi
I want to open a second GUI from a pushbutton in mainGUI, that new GUI is only for input of values(7 variables).These values will be used in main, in a function. After that, i need to plot the result of the funtion with another standard function.
In the new GUI i need to define the variables? How to use de setappdata and getappdata with all variables?

i try to use that info but no results. i don't undersantd where i need to put all the defined variables
% Add a brand new variable on to the handles structure.
handles.myNewVariable = 0;
it must be in function data_OpeningFcn(hObject, eventdata, handles, varargin) or in function edit1_Callback(hObject, eventdata, handles)?

a = get(handles.edit1_editText,'String');
i add this line in "function pushbutton1_Callback(hObject, eventdata, handles) " and shows me a lot of errors after that.
