Excel server doesn't start when Matlab is run in batch mode

Hi,

I have a script that uses xlsread. The script works when I run it from the command line within Matlab. However, when I to run it from the Windows command line, e.g., matlab -r myscript.m, I get the following error: [Warning: Could not start Excel server for import, 'basic' mode will be used. Refer to HELP XLSREAD for more information.]

Any ideas how to overcome this?
