Extrapolate a line from a curve

Hi I have plotted a cubic polynomial. Its a curve now I want to plot a starlight line from the portion of curve which is giving straight trend and to extend line until it will hit the y-axis to get the trend. Any idea how would it work.

Get the derivative at the points you want and intersect it with the x-axis?
