parapool stuck on Starting parallel pool on slurm cluster in Matlab 2013b

Hi
I have these commands to set JobStorageLocation and start parpool. But i starts very slowly. Is there anything wrong with my code? The code is runned on abel.
pc=parcluster;
pc.JobStorageLocation=strcat(getenv('SCRATCH'),'/job');
parpool(pc,prs);

‘parpool’ takes time to start, that is an expected behaviour. It might help you fasten the process if your Job storage location is local to your machine. How long does ‘parpool’ take?
