suppressing java.io.IOException

While building a GUI using JGraphX and JIDE PorpertyGrid, the following java IOException pops upp when I move cells in JGraphX. This however, does not seem to affect the performance at all, so my question is:

Can I suppress / Hide / Block a specific error message? (Or all error messages?)

I'm using OS X 10.9.4 and Java Standard Edition Version 8 Update 11 (build 1.8.0_11-b12) with MATLAB R2013b (8.2.0.701) 64-bit (maci64)
