Change language from Japanese to English

Hi, I recently installed Matlab R2013B but my system locale is in Japanese so Matlab appears in Japanese. Is there any way to change it to English without changing my applocale? I have a windows 8.1.

I've already tried doing this: Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings" On the "advanced" tab click "Environment Variables" Click "New..." to create a new "System Variable" Set the "Variable Name" at MWLOCALE_TRANSLATED Set the "Variable Value" at OFF (Put it back ON to get it translated in the locale language).

but it doesn't work nor do anything to Matlab. I would appreciate help for this matter.
