ペイントアプリで作成したtifイメージについて

.tifで保存した撮影データ(A)をwindowsのペイントに貼り付けて.tifで保存しました(B)

このデータ(B)をimreadで読み込もうとしたところ，

エラー: rgb2gray>parse_inputs (line 72)
RGB は m x n x 3 の配列でなければなりません。

となり，読み込めませんでした．これはペイントの問題なのでしょうか．

（データ(A)は読み込むことができました．）
