Opening the Preferences, selecting the Keyboard > Shortcuts entry under MATLAB, and searching for "tab" found the Previous Tab and Next Tab options. In the Windows Default Set I'm using they are Ctrl-Page Up and Ctrl-Page Down respectively.

I suppose I mean the "previously opened" Editor tab. If I have a dozen Editor tabs open, and would like to jump from my active tab 10 to my previously active tab 4, is there a shortkey operation for this? I realize I could set them next to eachother in the tab window, but that is a user-workaround to solve a desired feature.

I don't believe there's a shortcut for that. That seems like a perfectly reasonable enhancement request to file with Technical Support.
