Requirements for econometrics work

I have to buy a new computer to use matlab for econometrics. 4GB ram is enough? Intel celeron is enough or i have to buy a i3 CPU?

Doesn't matter what you do, 4GB just won't cut it these days. Go for as much memory first but definitely not less than 8GB minimum...

To my knowledge, Mathworks does not publish system requirements for particular toolboxes. According to the system requirements for MATLAB 2021b itself, 4GB is a minimum and 8GB is recommended. Given that most econometrics applications are computing-intensive, I would go for more if you can.
And be aware that the product requirements for Econometrics include the Optimization and Stats Toolboxes.
