Beta parameters acquisition from data

Hi, I have a 600x1 data and I need to get beta distribution parameters (alpha, beta) from it. The data varies from numbers -6 to 6, but in order to obtain beta distribution parameters I need to get the data from a range of 0 to 1 and the area under this curve would have to be 1.

Can anybody help?
