Is there a way to imregister some points on a matlab figure

Can I do imregister for only some points in the frames and if there is a change at thos epoints, to remove those frames?

If you have individual points as input to the registration, you should use fitgeotrans().

So I have a series of images and I want to see how much one image changes from the other by using these points to register.In other words, I got some points using getpts for the first frame and I want to see how the subsequent frames changed with respect to these points. If there is a change, I want the frame to be flagged. Maybe I have not understood fitgeotrans but it doesnt seem like I can use it for this application. I ideally want to input the two subsequent frames and the points of interest and check if there is a movement at all between the frames.

You don't put in images. You put in the point coordinates that you obtained with getpts().

tform = fitgeotrans(movingPoints,fixedPoints,transformationType)

Here movingPoints and fixedPoints are the point data from the 2 frames. I would advise that you read the examples for illustrate of usage,

I have so many frames and to do points for each frame woud be quite taxing. What i was hoping for is at those same points in different frames, how much the image changes basically registration using those same points for all frames.

No, registration does not happen pixel-by-pixel. The pixels enter into the calculation inter-dependently.

Regardless, what benefit are you seeking by restricting the registration operation to a subset of points? Why not register the 2 images in the normal way, and then assess the change at the points of interest after the 2 images have been registered?
