licence error -9: how do solve the problem more efficiently ?

I have a licence error (-9) and matlab does not run. I am asked to read dozens of comments and 4 different possible causes of this licence error. Considerablt time needs to be spend by the costomer because Matlab licence office made an error. It would be great to remove those difficulties with using matlab.
