what would be the code for this equation and how do I solve for t in this case?

It seems that the equation you give has no soltion.
f = @(t) 3.7 *( 1 + 4.1*.006/170*(3.7/180)^(2/3) * nthroot(t.^5, 3)).^-1.5;
fplot(f, [-1000 1000]); grid on
fsolve(f, 5000 )
No solution found. fsolve stopped because the problem appears regular as measured by the gradient, but the vector of function values is not near zero as measured by the value of the function tolerance.

What is the value of z?

z= 10;
f = @(t) 3.7 *( 1 + 4.1*.006/170*(3.7/180)^(2/3) * nthroot(t.^5, 3)).^-1.5 - z;
%fplot(f, [-1000 1000]); grid on
fsolve(f, -100 )
Equation solved. fsolve completed because the vector of function values is near zero as measured by the value of the function tolerance, and the problem appears regular as measured by the gradient.
