What does the axes in my plot mean?

I used pcshow to plot two point clouds taken from another software. the plot's axes has numbers that dont really make sense to me, so I wanted to know what does pcshow plot on the axes?

Will all depend on what was in the object you passed to the function -- it expects a set of positions for X,Y,Z; what those are determines what the ranges of the various axes are.

We have no idea what you did from just the attach image...

Does the Y span about 35 micrometers ?

So the pcshow is from a lidar scan i did in a parking lot. so thing should be along the scale of meters.

The plot axes is cropped. Is it possible that on the left hand side near the top, there is a notation ?

But the image won't have the units of the coordinates unless they're in the object you passed to <pcshow>, the code for which nor the original image did you deign to provide so we have no way to know what that might have been.

Have you scaled the image by the resolution to turn it from just number of pixels to actual dimensions and passed those X,Y,Z values? If not, then it can't use those to display the axes limits as actual distances.

pcshow() will use the coordinates as stored in the pointcloud ptCloud1 .
