Is there a lockdown browser version of MATLAB?

Is there a way to make MATLAB the only thing that runs on a student computer, and disables all other windows like a lockdown browser, for using MATLAB during exams but not other programs?

I suspect you will need some kind of remote proctoring software. Be aware that is an arms race.
One more thing: the documentation is loaded from online in the last few releases (unless explicitly installed).

Note: for some functionality, MATLAB starts additional processes and communicates with them using tcp/ip (and perhaps some udp in the mix.) At the very least that includes:
- doc -- the documentation itself
- parallel.Pool -- parallel pools (parfor and so on)
- sim -- Simulink engine
- symengine -- symbolic toolbox core functionality
Some of the operations of the command window and editor would make more sense if the GUI is in a separate process than the MATLAB engine.
I suspect also Simscape, but the hints I got about that date from before Simscape was made independent of Simulink, so I do not know how the connection is done currently.

Hi Brian,
I understand that you are looking for the support to lockdown the MATLAB browser version.
Here is the link below where you can find instructions on how to lock your MATLAB browser according to your requirements.
Hope this resolves your query!
