"Problem finding getMapfileName" whenever a global variable is declared

I am running MATLAB2016a student. I recently started using global variables for a new project and discovered that anytime I mouse over a global variable name in the editor this statement appears in my command window:
"Problem finding getMapfileName in com.mathworks.mlwidgets.help.HelpUtils: null"
It doesn't appear to impact my current code at all but I'm curious what's causing it and concerned it may be a problem in the future.
Only troubleshooting I've tried so far is deleting and regenerating my preferences folder (C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Roaming\MathWorks\MATLAB\R2016a).
Any insight is appreciated!
