how to use SVM classifier for a single image.

I want to classify image blocks based on variation in standard deviation of image blocks. I want to get those blocks whose standard deviation is very much different from other blocks of same image. How can we classify it using Svm classifier. Is there is any other classifier which can do it in better way?
