Why does the MathWorks Product Installer get stuck on selecting the destination folder?

The installer may be stuck at this step for a few reasons including
  • The destination folder is on a slow storage device or network drive.
  • The destination folder has many subfolders and files that need to be read, which may take several minutes.
You can try restarting the installer if you suspect the issue is not related to the storage device.
