Specify thickness for dipole antenna simulation

Hello.

I am new using Anetnna Design App.

I would like to know the difference between radius and thickness in a dipoleCylindrical in Antenna Design App as it seem to describe the same thing (see attached file).

Hi Angel Lozada,

When you design dipole cylindrical antenna, you will have two parameters as you mentioned, radius r and its thickness t, r will be the radius of the hollow cylinder metal rod, and t will be its thickness, the thickness will depend on the skin depth of the metal element. We have a hollow metal rod because the current are only flowing in the outer part of metal restricted only upto its skin depth. I hope this answers your query
