I want to finf the position of the ballbearing in the dicom file. In image I see the place were ball is visualized. However, the numbers of pixels are almost the same - in file Ursynow.dcm. There is no values that represent the ball. In ImageJ program everything is ok. Profile across the ball is visible very well. What is wrong.
%% Read and DICOM data
clc
dcmfile = dicomread('Ursynow.dcm');
%% Show Original DICOM(.dcm) Image
%figure ()
imshow(dcmfile,[]);

Is the dcm file small enough to attach? (You will probably have to zip it and attach the .zip)

Well for one thing, all you did was to read in and display the image. You did no image analysis at all!
It's a generic, general purpose demo of how to threshold an image to find blobs, and then measure things about the blobs, and extract certain blobs based on their areas or diameters.
If you have any more questions, then attach your data (zipped up DCM file) and code to read it in with the paperclip icon after you read this:

There should be no difference. Since you have not shared what you did in either ImageJ or MATLAB we cannot guess what any difference you are seeing is due to.
