2 targets are placed at 100m and 200m distance with velocities of 50m/s and 1m/s respectively. The obtained results are correct but the range dopplar plot showing errors. Instead of showcasing 2 target points in the plot, It shows 6 points. checked with different combinations of total number of samples and number of sweeps, but can not eliminate the false positions. Please help me out. Thanks.![](https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/uploaded_files/1353404/image.jpeg)

Hi Ananya,
Based on the information provided, duplicates occurred when the same target is detected by multiple radar pulses. This can happen if the radar pulse repetition frequency (PRF) is too low, which means that the time between consecutive pulses is long enough for the target to move to a different location. When a subsequent pulse is transmitted and received, it may detect the same target at its new location, creating a duplicate in the radar data.
Another scenario where duplicates can occur is when multiple radars (for example, the MIMO case itself) are used to detect the same target. In this case, each radar may detect the same target independently, creating duplicates in the radar data.
with regards,
