Hello, I've seen some other questions about this but I haven't been able to successfully apply the solutions to my model. Could someone please help me out and give me a little explanation? I'm pretty new to using simscape. When I take the inertia off the torque sensor then only the rpm is working but with the inertia the torque works fine and the rpm doesn't work. I've tried adding the rotational friction before the torque sensor but that didn't fix it. I included an image of the block that's giving me trouble. Thank you so much in advance.![](https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/uploaded_files/1356883/image.png)

The first issue is that you have a rotational reference attatched to the same node that your inertia is attatched to. This essentially locks that node in place so that it cannot move. Your other two rotational references are placed correctly.
