Why do I repeatedly get the message "matlab_R2015a_win64.exe is not a valid win32 application" ?

I have windows 64, and whenever I download the installer and try to run it I get this message. I tried using chrome, firefox, and internet explorer as well as disabling my antivirus software/firewalls (stated in this post: http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/100150-why-do-i-get-the-error-message-installer-exe-is-not-a-valid-win32-application-when-trying-to-start). When I used internet explorer, I kept getting the message that the download was interrupted and I wasn't able to get it to finish. Is there some other way to fix this problem and make the installer run?

I'm also having the same problem. I've also attempted to install the win32 version and that also gives the same error. Is there something wrong with the installer? I'm able to download and run exe installers from other sites with no problem.

The error message tells you that the download has been interrupted. This can be a problem of your computer (exhausted memory) or of your internet service provider (limited download size or volume). Perhaps your computer lost the connection to the WiFi network.
You can ask the technical support for the MD5 checksums of the files to control, if the download worked correctly.
