I'm trying to import a file from the BED dataset into EEGLAB for preprocessing purposes, in the paper associated with the dataset they mention using it for it has to be compatible but when i try to import it i get "pop_editset() error: canno read .mat file <filepath>, this is not a bug (Error occurred in function pop_editset() at line 445).
i'm very new to this and i have no idea how to debug this on my own

i've tried most of those options (the ones that made sense in my use case) and they all threw some kind of error.
I really don't get why the standard way to import a file doesn't work

Hi,
I understand that you are facing issues in importing the .mat file in EEGLAB. I suggest you validate the dimensions of the input data. EEGLAB expects the dataset to be in the format (Electrodes x Times x Trails). I found the following link where this was mentioned. I am not very sure about the approach as I haven’t tried it on my own.
Hope this helps!
